Animated Comics

Anyone ever think of animating a comic book?

By which I mean scanning in the pages in high quality then cutting up individual images and using multiple transitional effects kinda like a really long slide show... Ive been contemplating doing this alot lately, just curious if anyone else ever though of something like that... Plus I'm bored...

Like a flip book of an actual comic book ?

Takes a LOOONG time, and depends on the transitions that are already there from the comic..

I may try it.

Do something really small, then show it to us, and we'll give you some feedback.

PS: you'll probably have to draw some of your own images and give the characters a voice. But then again that sort've ruins it...

Why don't you try doing something productive in all that free time?

Try and think about animating Calvin & Hobbes.

1- you need drawing skills
2- animating skills
3- scanner
4- voices (try and think about how calvin's voice would sound...)

I saw some clips of the animated Garfield. I hate it. Keep in mind that they get paid for it though when you won't.

I think he should animate Least I Could Do. It's my favorite comic.
