maplestory

well i used to play maplestory, then i stopped.

i recently found 'private servers', which are basically copies of maplestory but with edited values hosted by some server people.

in this private server (ancient maplestory) i get x500 exp, x500moneys, and x50 drop rate.

you should try it, i got a character that would have taken me 3 months to get in 2 days.

Private servers for all MMORPG's exist. I personaly don't have time for MMORPG's anymore.... On a side note, anyone everplay HellBreath or Priston Tale?

most MMO's are cursed...
they steal your soul and WoW is the greatest example

or better yet tie your fingers together with rope or tape so you cant type mwhahahaha


as for maplestory i tried it once.. was blah!... why play that when i could play wow or eq2..

I hate MMOs and FPS for the same reasons:

Firstly, they almost ALWAYS make you trash talk, no matter how hard you try not to.
Secondly, all their players suck.
Thirdly, they waste so much time.
Fourthly, and most importantly, I haven't found any I like of either genre.

i actualy find that less people curse on wow or eq2 then say wc3 or sc2 or diablo 2...

i agree they take alot of time

yes some players suk but some are fun to hang with so give it a chance...

warhammer, dark ages of camelot, endless-online[one of those little free games on the net like maplestory and runescape, tried it once it was a lil bit to cartoonish for me], MU Online, Forsaken MU[newer version of MU Online], Guild Wars, Second Life[havnt played this one but looked really awsome, i think you have to buy it im not sure tho]

You forgot the best ever online MMORPG. It is totally free, has amazing graphics, is 100% skill based, and totally owns. (A level 20 could beat a level 90 if they were vastly more skilled.)

SpaceCowboy. Fighter Pilot MMORPG set on alien planets.

There was one big problem though, a Japanese company owned the copyright and screwed the Americans out of new content. After repeated complaints and requests from the American company running it, they sent a cease and desist order for them to stop hosting the game. (Even though this was in violation of their previous agreement, the evil Japanese corporation still won and closed them down.) But, after all that fiasco, it was eventually started back up by another company, and is now getting the updates that it deserved. I think it is called ArialAces now, but there is an American and a European version run by different groups. You would have to figure out which one you wanted to play on. (They have different names too, but if you do a wikipedia search for SpaceCowboy, you should get all the info you need.)

Anyway, this game freaking owns if you can spend a few minutes sifting through the politics of the corporations. It is really amazing, especially for a free game. It is as good as WOW IMO. There is a continuous large scale battle going on throughout all of the areas of the game, and you have to pick a faction to join. They launch motherships at each other, and get war rewards for doing better against the other faction. (Like a global exp and gold increase for your faction for 24 hours of about 15%.) You can also set-up squads and do squad combat or single 1v1 combat even against your own faction, it just doesn't count for war rewards.

Check out this awesome game if you get bored.

it just depends on how fast it eats at you
MMOs like Maplestory and WoW eat it quickly and my cousin is one very great example (he plays both)
wanna be web based RPG games like Runescape, Adeventure Quest, and Dragonfable are medium eaters
Strategy games like WC3 and SW EAW are slow eaters but WC varys more with the games like DotA and such
WC with DotA eats faster then WC pure ladder

EDIT: ive played Maplestory and i liked it i stopped b/c my computer started to overload b/c Maplestory is mortal enemys with Vista
ive also played WoW i dont buy it b/c i dont wanna pay for it

this is true unfortunately.. and for sc2 it will eat mine very very quickly...

SC1 is considered a sport in some asian countries. I dont think W3 beats that, but yeah, its a damn good game.

15 years lol no, I'm not that old man! pokemon came out when I was in 5th grade so about 9 years ago, and that reminds me to update my age to 19.

It was out long before in Japan and stuff before it came to Canada/USA.

a year more then tops, it doesn't take things that long to get over here.

wc4 would not only beat sc2 and diablo 3 COMBINED but it would ANNIHILATE them...

however sc2 will beat wc3 as it has a world editor that beats wc3 x2 and graphics that beats
wc3 x10000... and yes this is true as i have done ALOT of research on sc2 and read ALL of the
Q & As.. 10 of which are about world editor only..
