kuro's forum guide

okay so i just felt like making a quick and short guide about the forum to help people. even i am discovering new tricks and mechanics to this forum. i will be adding more and more to this guide as i learn; if someone else learns something about the forum please tell me. mods feel free to edit and add suitable content.

note: for tips&tricks when i post the command or whatever--say the color command-- it makes the text blue, or disappear, etc. so i have to break up my text so it wont be confusing... refer to below posts& notes.

Posting Mechanics:
-one can edit their posts
-one can add a poll with their posts
-after a certain time, like about a day, posts cant be deleted.
-one can edit their post and add a poll, if they are the topic starter of course
-after a poll is created it cannot be edited
-the only way to bypass these rules is to have a mod edit/delete your post.

Posting tips & tricks1:
-by clicking on certain things up top one can change how the text appears
-clicking on smileys inserts smileys.

Advanced tips & tricks: custom input
-certain commands can be inputted directly into the forum posting
-like would create an image
--------------This is the format for these things. say you wish to do thing X. [X]text/image/site here[/X]
-list of certain ones: img, scroll, b, i, u, strike (bold, italic, underline, striked text)

There are a lot more, some at the top, some not at the top!
-format for advanced advanced: [X=Y][/X]
-note: i used brackets for this part because it kept messing itself up. use [] instead of {} when posting, though.

this is quoting 1 and quoting 2 respectively.

-colors time!
-this is the format for colors.
-remember: USE THESE INSTEAD! [ ]

-at 'SomeColor' one can try things like blue, red, yellow, etc. colors are limited though.

Inserting Flash

-this is how you insert flash, or a video.
-[flash(425,350)]video url here[/flash]
-IMPORTANT: you need to edit the link on the video in order to be able to view the video.

(you need to change the url from format 1 to format 2; change the red parts.)
-dimensions: 425 by 350 is good


Custom colors
-one of the last commands is custom colors. you enter a code and then you get... one of the 256 colors or something. /shrug
-some mod edit this part please i dont understand the custom colors too much.
