The Community

Well as I'm sure everyone is all 2 aware, MMM is quite dead, I don't even have the free time to try and finish 8.0 and so the topic of the clan comes to mind. As I'm sure most of you know I'm currently working on the Fantasy Life map series, which has required almost all of my attention when on warcraft (though I still find ways to procrastinate XD ) and since it is quite obvious to me that zmmm is going no where I'd like to try and do clan things w/ my own map. Basically what I'm saying is I need someone to step up and be leader of zmmm so I don't have to disband the clan and the community it has built. At this point I'm pretty sure its safe to say all you have to do to keep it alive is just sign on from time to time since it no longer has a method to grow.

Clan ZMMM can be used for your map as well. What originally started as a community for MM&M has evolved into a community for game testers and skilled players. I don't see a problem with the clan the way it is now, and you should be able to use it for other things when needed.

Most of the people in zmmm prefer a different genre of game to my own, and I could easily see things like "why are we testing this map over MMM." "whys are you working on this over MMM" a position I'd rather not be in. Not to mention recruiting members for my map will be much harder when the clan name has nothing to do with my own map.

well if MMM = deader then well something dead :/ then we shouldn't keep our failure with the Clan.. i say new map new clan!

i agree with tank.. we should just disband the clan and make a new one.. are active members that are interested can just join that one..

besides.. 3/4 the clan is inactive anyway.. theres not point in keeping a clan for a game that no longer has any essence of life.. with most of the members having died with it..

if someone would give me an unprotected copy of the map i could easily spruce it up (fix an animation, bit of balancing, etc)

whats you maps name/topic/orign/color/flavor (if so is it one of baskin robbins?)

diasters map is Fantasy Life.

It's a "Life" & RPG mix. So it's like LOAP with Final Fantasy, Zelda, Fire Emblem etc.. easter eggs. You're just a guy living in a world, who can be a Black Wizard, White Wizard, Red Wizard, Monk, Ninja or Knight. (As well as thief). There are secrets and artifacts and bosses around the world. Someone's the King/Queen as well. There are events that happen from time to time, such as Dracula taking over the castle to a statue appearing and messing up everyones senses. It's more of an actual "Role playing" game where you would take on the persona of a character.

do you mean of MMM? you do realize the entire item system still has to be done right? As in the only one was deleted and you won't have items unless it is done.

the clan is used for communicating with friends...

e.g. i go to 'clan' and see who's on.

and i still play mm&m... and so do some other non-clan people; they drop by the clan to play mm&m.

do we really need a tier system? all i want to do is a bit of balancing, grammar fixes, etc.

at this point we need a tier system because the old one was deleted. And if no one wants to take chief to save the clan within a week or so I'll disband it.

if nobody feels like taking chieftain then i'll take it... but the clan is what holds us together... its like saying 'lets shut down the forums due to inactivity'.

*sigh* kuro the clan is made up of 54 people.. which now that ive looked at about 20-25 of them are active.. which leaves half of our clan that is completely inactive.. out of the 25 who do play howmeny of them actualy play MM&M? im gonna take a guess at 10 or less.. which makes this clan no longer about mm&m at all.. and thats bull about people stopping by to play.. ive been on quite a bit in the last 2 weeks and i havnt once seen anyone OUTSIDE the clan come inside it to play some mm&m.. the majority of the time im in the channel im the only one.. and if im not there is only 1-3 more people..

i think the better for the clan is to disband it gather our active members create a clan for this new game, which btw sounds completely badass, and continue from there.. no one is suggesting deleting the forums but the clan has little to no use anymore..

you're never on wc3; you're one of the 50% inactive...

sure kick them but the rest of the active people are still part of the 'clan'.

I can vouch that there are indeed games of MM&M. Whether they stop by the channel or not is beyond me.

I was talking to some clan people earlier to day, and one of them said he plays 3-5 full house games of MM&M every day. Mostly during the morning. He also said that many people were pissed that we didn't at least fix the pitiful few bugs.

ive played mm&m 3 times today, and counting.

ive been on quite a bit in the last couple weeks.. and i NEVER see MM&M played by anyone..
and i highly doubt that anyone gets 3-5 fullhouse games any day..

again i NEVER see anyone host MM&M anymore and im on between 3 and 9 pm i just dont see how anyone saying that play 3 or more times a day with full house could be true..
