Jay's Jade Jewel, AFAIK only one item is being implemented.

Well you still got it wrong...

Versions a/b/c etc. are for making small bug fixes, balancing, and possibly a few minor additions (yes, -ct didn't take too long to make).

Full versions without a letter have big new changes and are mainly to make a step toward the future.

In short: a/b/c is minor editions of the full to make it more stable or whatever. The full version is just raw material. I don't know if this helps clear it up at all...

I am strongly against the name of this item.

If you want to acknowledge people put their name in the quest information.

Soon people will just suggest items and expect their name in the game, I guess when it comes down to it, it is your choice.

Just remember, if you put one persons name in why shouldn't a second person get their name in.

Forums and game are two different things.

both sides of this are intriguing.

Firstly if we are involved in the community i see no reason to not have some benefits to it, be it a piece of MMM culture iconized with a name of an item or a spell or whatever. a Majority of me is all about this idea, I congratulate Jay for having this time in the Spotlight so to say and sinister for allowing it.

Second, alot of people, like djinn already said, will be whining for there name in the game, whiny whiny whiny, and its gonna suck, and no offense sinister but ive seen you buckle to pressure on a few occasion's now and would hate to see this be a trend starting with every version.

Why not make it have an obscure reference to Jay?

How about you just call it the "Jayd Jewel." I think that solves the problem and makes the name even more pro. (Could also be "Jayed Jewel.")

I actually like that, jayd, like Jade. Which was obvious I know but Im just saying I like it.

Jayed and Jayd are both underlined in my browser - and thus they cannot be real words! Jay is not underlined and thus is able to be used.

On that note, I do have a different suggestion. Instead of naming it "Jay's", we could call it "Jade Jewel" and make the description "Originally held by Jay.J, this item..." and goes into the stats. How does that sound?

Meh, originally the item forum was non-existant. Even when made, nobody (or few) people posted any suggestions. As a "reward" Zync said accepted items would have their names in the item. He accepted my item, it was forgot about, and the map was passed down to SinisteRing. It's not Zync's rules anymore....It's Sin's. He can do whatever he wants, however as you can see even now, with the reward has not made many people suggest any items, let alone any good thought out ones. A few decent ones have been posted....but nothing big at all. I think (with a large bias) that it should continue (having the suggesters name in it) atleast untill the time where it's not possible to even review each item, let alone implement them. I would LIKE my name in the actual name of the item, as very few people read the description however, I wouldn't be devestated if it was only the description...
