No, I'm not saying it's not POSSIBLE. I'm saying YOU aren't one.

Wait... why is not possible? Because no one has ever been a-sexual before? Maybe sin reproduces via budding like a sponge.

There's a double negative in there, sorry for the confusion. I think it's possible to be "A-sexual" in that you have no sexual attraction to either sex due to lack of hormones or something similar. Unics (Men who have their balls removed) would be an example. Now, not in the biological sense like a sponge or a worm where they just multiply...but it's possible to be A-sexual...in the sense you just have no sexual attraction.

Regardless of the possibility, I don't believe that SinisteRing (Wanting to be knowng as Tidus by me) is Asexual.

I understand it, I just deny your claim that you are one.

Why is Tidus significant... the only thing I can think of is Tidus Andronichus, but I think that is a Shakespeare play that was... horrible at best. And I don't think there are any references to a-sexuality in that, but i could be wrong as I have not read it yet.

Tidus is a Final Fantasy character.

He is a massive pretty boy who cries every chance he gets.

Ha, like you know. You probably played the game without looking at the storyline or analyzing it. I think the absolute other way. I think that Tidus is the example of a perfect human, which is why I like to think I'm him.

I'm not even going to bother trying to argue my point with Jay anymore. He believes one thing, I'll believe another. Simple as that.

Hmmm. Right. Belief leads to conflict.

PostSubject: Re: A Deal   A Deal - Page 8 EmptyMon Feb 09, 2009 1:26 pm

Of course, but that's because I didn't qualify what kind of belief with a prepositional phrase used adjectivally.

Belief in different things causes conflict.

Oh sure, you could say that a couple of rational people could work out his/her differences and agree to disagree, but that is a situation comprised of two rational people. You'd be lucky to find that in a room of a couple hundred especially if something offends aforementioned people.

Think of the internet: imagine how many people have bitched and moaned about "which type of music is better" or any number of an odd assortment of pointless things to believe in. And that's just the pointless crap. Now start infringing on someone's *core* values and see how stupid he or she gets.

But then, at the same time, it would be stupid and ludicrous for me to boil down every conflict to a conflict of beliefs... so I won't. I'd say that this idea that "my belief is right and better than yours" crap is a tragic side effect of having way too damn much free time. Really? Do you have nothing better to do than to bitch about how one thing which cannot possibly be EMPIRICALLY proven is better than another thing which cannot be OBJECTIVELY proven?!

Yeah, sure, subjectivity and opinions are fine, but sometimes they don't make a god damn bit of difference. Cool, you like crap music. I'll accept that. It's who you are.
You believe there is only one way to salvation?
Oh how interesting...
And you say it's only through our Lord and Savior...
Okay, tell me more.

That's you. If nothing else, it makes you interesting although perhaps slightly misled and somewhat sheepy. But, again, it's what makes you you.

Oh, and this sarcastic, elitist attitude makes me what I am. No, I'm not always a prick, just like you're not always right. Because, let's face it. Right and wrong isn't actually that easy of a question to answer... but I suppose that would just be an opinion - and everyone's got those.

Apparently I have too much time on my hands if I'm sitting here arguing with myself and then posting it on this forum.

He cried when he thought of his dad.
His dad didn't physically hurt him in anyway, all his dad did was push him.

He's a grown man and he cried when he was pushed.
The perfect human? Everything he does is lead by emotion, the intelligent choices he made throughout the game were extremely limitied.

mmmm........ ff10 is by far my favorite rpg for playstation 2 and so far for ps 3 and xbox360.

Tidus didn't cry because his dad pushed him, he cried because he was starved for positive attention from him and all he ever got was a two handed snide remark and made to feel that he could never actually be a person worth anything.

Dont get me wrong he is clearly a sissy boy, but in context to what I ask? Surely in context to our lives tidus and every protagonist in every rpg I have ever played have been borderline homosexual and more often then not cry about someone they love to a extreme degree throughout the 40 or so hours of playing.

However I ask you, if our idealism of what a manly man should be was not part of the equation would that not be every aspect of a person that you would aspire to attain in yourself? Surely you could understand that the protagonist of any rpg game is over exaggerated to the max not simply because that's how they where written, by bad writers who couldn't write a decent script to save there lives. Instead they are made that way because they are trying to project the qualities that you as a human being naturally have inside of you, because there is not enough time to fully explore every aspect of the personality there is a requirement to focus on the major ones that matter the most, which unfortunately is most commonly love and hate.

FFT. Excellent storyline. Controversial protagonist. Mmm K?

Regardless, I absolutely loved Aqua's banter based on my sarcastic post.

How would you know that you yourself would not cry in such a situation, Djinni? You've never been there.

Tidus isn't a sissy boy (I feel like I'm starting to talk about myself). He's simply emotional. Take a look at the storyline again. You'll see that he's the first person to commit to a suicidal mission to save someone or to take down an enemy. He rushes to the scene on first thought and attempts to do the best he can with it. You're calling him a sissy for that?

I think you've all misjudged Tidus, and that he's a far better character than you guys give him credit for.
