Most mages could still wipe out a mass of skeletons with ease. Sure they are better now, but the fact still remains, they suck.

Imo buffing them is pointless, even if they did become slightly useful i doubt anyone would use them with all the other things dark has to offer. Remake or ignore is the way to go with skeletons as far as im concerned.

actually if they had good hp, I could see them being used simply as shields since most spells in the game are aimed. If they had good hp they could divert waves, and even block orbs.

Wow...what a waste of 3 pages >.<.

Alright Skeletons are fine for now. Right now they already block aimed spells amazingly. Their HP doesn't matter to block a spell - buffing them needs nothing.
Skeletons needs 2 things to buff it: Less mana and/or less cooldown. Since nothing else really matters - they tank spells regardless of their HP, they just might not be able to tank creeps.

Either that or be remade, or scaled based on power.

For Plauged Earth - It has to leech at the end, otherwise it's just a weak armageddon/earthquake. It's channeled so just cancel it. I don't like the idea as that spell though. I think you could do something better with Dark/Earth.

After reading all this I'll clarify what my thought was originally.

Big AoE life Leech, dealing around 1/2-3/4 of fulll life leech damage, and only getting about 1/2 of the life leeched added to casting mage's HP, then after a 5-10 sec channel, once completed, the casting mage causes an explosion that deals damage based on the amount of HP drained. other effects could be added, and the explosion could be changed, to maybe a giant Fissure, or a nova of Carrion Swarm, idk. I think it works well with the basic ideas of both elements, Earth's tendency toward big, major, high dmg, big AoE spells; and Dark's tendency toward manipulating HP/Mana (Life Leech/Death Pact), and dealing dmg based on HP/Mana (Death Coil/Soul Reaper). Numbers are fluid, and yes it would be hard to balance, but I like the idea, as a big game changing, "fear me!" spell.

Then that's just a hugely stronger Arma. Instead of damaging yourself, you're healing yourself...It's supposed to be only slightly stronger than tier 3 ultimate spells - not insanely better.

Take a look at Dark/Fire M-spell compared to Infernal. Only slightly better, but has disadvantages (No stun).

But arma does 20*pwr, i'm thinking of capping this at around 9-10*pwr for a 5-10sec channel, not nearly as much as arma, but w/o the self damage.

yes and this spells also has to deal w/ the fact that it will have to basically be mid combat when used since it drains life for its dmg. You can go and hide to use it tactically cause you won't leech anything...I'm still saying this idea isn't worth it...rotting soil all the way Very Happy

I don't like a channel spell for Earth/Dark. That's my main concern. You already have 2 Channeling tier 3 spells (Arma and Erupt). One is setup, one is mid battle. And Earthen skin - which lets you channel. Without it, these skills are both meh.

Any ideas that AREN'T channeling?

in order for a spell to be as major as earth usually has, it has to channel to be balanced. you could remove the channel part, but it would have to look like this:

You instantly drain 1/1.5/2 *pwr hp from all enemies around you, then release it in a massive AoE dealing damage based on the amount of HP drained, capped at 9-10*pwr.

perhaps take all the HP drained from nearby enemies and divide it by 2-5 to make the explosion's dmg.

i was thinking somthing like a morph like
Death Giant its like mountain giant but a inferno morph that has all initate dark / earth abils n incrase
like
Greater Str
FoD
Fissure
Death Coil
Inferno
Earthen Skin
Hurl Bolder

n does Siege Damage Automatticly n increses mages dmg by 50 in morph
and attacks Slow has Mystic armor

Somthing like that mabey

That's the problem with morphs. It's either always better to be in it, or always better to be in mage form. You're version is OP in the sense, that there's no reason to ever be in mage form anymore.
