Ice/Lightning Multispell

i know what ur sayin i just mean ..they are mspells they ARE spose to be strong but not every mbook has a mspell which leaves them at disadvantages

I'm for 2.5 or 3 * Power on it. It also sounds like a fun spell, and I support it.

Wait, is it the same amount of mana burned, just more damage? Because then that's good - if it absorbs that much then that's like 400+ per mage absorbed <.<

Hmm, good point. This seems a little too powerful as an instant cast. I guess either leave it at 2*Power, reduce the range of damage from 500, or give it a channel back. I dunno, this seems hard to balance and I am tired. I'll think about it more later.

It's 375 mana absorbed per mage with 3*Absorb Mana and 312,5 per mage with 2.5*absorb mana. It would be devastating in a group since it's AOE damage too.


The Absorb range was 600 and damage range was 500.

Ya, so keep it as 170 mana absorbed, but the damage is 3x absorbed mana.

Well it can't probably do more then 1000 damage since it can't absorb mana if the target has full mana or gets full mana during the absorbing.

Hmm and 170 mana absorbed is 1.36*Absorb mana power.
And with 170 mana absorbed per mage it has a maximum of ~650 damage.

my idea is that it absorbs mana from nearby mages or w/e, and when the ward gets full mana (500?) it explodes dealing damage in the area.

It should be Damage done is 3x Absorb mana, but it's only absorb mana...in the amoutn absorbed.

That would probably be a bit too powerful. It would have 1500 maximum damage if there are 4 mages near the target and 1500 damage in a 500 AOE is quite overpowered. 2.5*Absorb mana power has max of 1248 (Again 4 mages need to be near you), but in that case it is alot more difficult to do such high damage since it deals 1*absorbed mana damage and the target needs to have lost 1248 and thats a high amount of mana to have, i have only 3 mages with that high mana (Lightning/Light, Water/Earth and my pure 62 essence water). Also every one of the 4 mages needs to have at least 312 mana.

I think 3x absorb mana sounds fair, and both ranges should be 500 IMO. You are not going to do more than like 1000 damage realistically, and most of the time it will be more like 300-500. The biggest thing that this spell does is drain mana in a mass aoe and totally refill your mana to the point that you can obliterate everything with your overcosted Ice moves.

Well actually it refills the targets mana and then detonates it.

The damage done, and the amount absorbed is different. It does [(170 x 3n) + 2x power] damage.Where n is the number of mages (Clerics as well) with mana. Against one mage, with 85 power you do 680 damage and absorb 170 mana, you do almost twice as much with 2 mages and get 340 mana back, it needs to be less static and more scaled. I suggest [2x power absorbed/burned + 2x power]. So you do 4x damage against one mage and 2x more for every other mage, with 2x power absorbed per mage.

Didn't Absorb Mana absorb 125?

Jay also just reminded me that Rhys does not want to have anymore M-spells use spells from one of their ultimates in their math. So, just do a specific set of numbers that seems balanced.

Hmmm specific numbers sound good . How about 300 mana drained per mage + 2*power damage?

No, that isn't scaled enough. Try something like 4-5*Power drained per mage. On a Lightning/Ice that should be about 300.

Umm... The mana drained is also the damage dealt in the 500 AOE and mana is drained into the target so the caster doesn't gain any mana.

That's huge, because the point of the skill is that it does more damage the more opponents there are. Stick with my formula. [ n(2x power Absorbed/Burn damage) + 2x power] Where n is the amount of units in the AoE with mana.

It's not...It doesn't use Mana burn or Absorb in the formula. It does burn/absorb mana though, but based on power.

So with the "n(2x power Absorbed/Burn damage) + 2x power" formula my Ice/lightning mage can do n(184 mana absorbed and detonated in the target) + 184 damage (My mage has 92 power.). That 920 damage in a 500 AOE with 5 mages. That looks fine?

Against 5 mages, ya. Against one mage it does much less, but it absorbs mana so I think it's pretty good. Like 368 or so damage to one mage, and 184 absorbed.
