Subject: Serious or Joke Music? Thu Sep 24, 2009 1:35 am
Recently I've been seeing a LOT of "serious but joke" bands/songs on the music scene. What I mean is musics with really joke lyrics but a serious output/beat etc. It's really hard to explain and it's kind of new to me. I kind of like it so I'm going to share a few songs with you guys and I want your input.

Depends on your definition of joke and serious music...I'd say it's "serious" unless given a definition that said otherwise, but based on my own subjective definition it's "serious".

Generally I like anything with comedy in my entertainment, and that includes music. However, more important in music to me is good singing. These songs have good enough singing, interesting beat, and a bit of comedy. So yeah, I like them. "Shake that Bubble" isn't as good as "Good Girls Go Bad" though. Mostly because the music is too loud/obnoxious and the person singing sucks.
