Rules new in yellow 4 spells-3 aura/spells 1 ulti no over powering or perma stun JASS and GUI are aloud keep them at minimal lag when the map is thrown into a mess of destruction and chaos NO TAMPERING WITH OTHERS TRIGGER/SPELLS do your imports yourself or get someone else to do it no knock backs weak mana shields if you must.. (.25/point) stuns no more then 1.5 secs invuln no more then 5 secs speed increases attack and foot (woo chart) -25% increase 0-10 secs -50% ' 0-7 secs -75% ' 0-5 -100% 0-3 -100% & ^ denied stat increases = aura/passives no items (for now) level cap 30 ablilty level cap 5 ulti level cap 2 more later

spell level caps someone for terrain (aren't i subtle?) someone for a life system (so that the game can end) someone for a board more later

| I said no, because without structure, the game mechanics get screwed with. That is why DotA has gone to shit, and why a game like Warlocks is so great! At the very least, you need to put down rules, like "no heroes with knock-back" and "no heroes that use mana points for life". Because otherwise, I could through together a hero that uses a 100% mana shield and next to no hp. However, because the game has great mana regeneration items (because other heroes were made with such items in mind) he is never balance-able!
That's why MM&M started going in the shitter to begin with. People started adding knock-back and other effects that moved (not just prevented the movement of) your enemies, which was initially designed out (as I told the people I passed the map off to), and it made the game... well, worse off. | |

| Mine is fully completed, in concept, but not actually created anywhere. though im realizing this is much more effective hero in an AoS setting, but it should be versatile enough for it to work well in an arena too. | |

| Or you could try playing a map that I made a long time ago called HeroCraft Arena... I am not responsible for two or 'lite' though. Basically, start off with a hero (Strength/Agility/Intelligence based which becomes important) then pick stats and abilities for the hero with each level and with gold (for skills at least). I haven't found any unbeatable combination yet. Yeah... you could try that. | |

| there is a key difference between GUI and JASS. say you wanted to program a fireball (mm&m one).
GUI style would be like this: the mage would shoot a 'shockwave' based ability that deals damage. then a trigger would recieve a signal and create a dummy unit at the end point of the fireball, with a dummy spell that dealt damage in that area.
JASS style would be like this: the mage would use a dummy spell that wouldn't do much. then a bunch of code would start running, something like 'create projectile X @ mage A, [move projectile away by Y distance]loop until past/near "targetted point", select all enemy units in an area, deal damage to units in area, etc.
because its easier for a computer to memorize code than pics and skills and make dummy units/delete them, although jass is harder to program, it is faster in-game and lags less.
and of course we will eventually have custom skins lol.
also is it against the rules to make two heroes? | |

| I just screwed around a bit on the basic editor GUI and I made a hero with a bunch of random spells (cept I can only give em nuetral hostile abilities not standard hero ones), and hes so badass that his basic attack is that he throws firelords at you. I thought it would be funnier to send a fortresses flying at you, but firelord makes more sense... | |
