I went to the tech support forums, and found thousands upon thousands of people with problems, at least a few ad my same problem, and there aren't ANY answers.

Since 1/2 of all all the torrents are just virsuses.

Iv'e been looking at Spore and apparently its gotten some pretty shitty reviews, even on metacritic, where the user review average was 4.9 out of 10. And wtf is with this DRM that they've put into the game, installing a freakin spyware rootkit to your harddrive that is unremovable and keeps track of all of your comp usage to sell to other companies, as well as limiting your disk to 3 installs. Also, its being said a lot that the gameplay is incredibly shallow and that you can only get so much gameplay time out of it. Is it really worth 50 bucks? I'll admit the game looked really cool but all these bad reviews everywhere are keeping me suspicious.

once you play, you dont want to stop, i played for 7 hours straight, and it felt like 1 or 2. It was just that crazy. I'll admit, the crative aspect of it really got me going, and the fact that there are as close to an infinite number of creatures as the human mind can comprehend means that replayablility is preety high. I didn't find the gameplay shallow, the 5 different stages helps to aliveate that, the RPGish part isn't as deep as a normal RPG, but thats not the end all. the Civilization isn't as indepth as Civ4, but its not designed as the only part of the game. i admit i didn't get to the end of the game, but the parts that I did get to defineitely held my attention. the DRM only allows you to have it installed on 3 computers at a time, and thats stupid. Its not a good answer to the problem. so far it hasn't been worth $50, but I only got to play once. If you buy it, wait for the patch, plz, wait for the patch.

On a side note: If they release a patch that fixes my issue, don't plan on seeing me for awhile, possibly a very long while. I'll prollycheck in on you daily or so, but I may become a little less prominent.

Are you aware that you now have a program installed on your harddrive that you cannot remove that spies on your computer usage?

a spyware program embedded onto the spore disk that spies on your computer activity for EA and Maxis. Its irremovable.

ya but i got like 12 different anti-virus and anti-spywar and ive never had to wipe my computer clean cause of viruses im not really scared of bitorrant... if it turns to be a virus than i can clean it... besides sin uses it and he says it works fine and i trust him enough to try it...
